Expat Management Group’s journey started in 2014 when the two immigration experts and long-time friends, Nihat Kurt and Dominique Coenen, joined forces after years of working at major global immigration law firms, advising multinationals and SME companies.
After noticing a gap in the immigration landscape, they saw an opportunity to provide hands-on immigration and relocation solutions with attention to compliancy, streamlined processes and a smooth onboarding.
Today, Expat Management Group is a dynamic group of recognized legal experts and relocation specialists based in Benelux and Germany working alongside exciting growth companies and multi-nationals alike. With the solid base and experience of a large firm and the flexibility and commitment of a small one. Seamlessly. Frictionless. Human first. Every step of the way.

Expat Management Group is a full member of EuRA (European Relocation Association) and is bound by its ethics and Rules of Conduct. The stated aim of EuRA is to spread knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding employee mobility. Further, EuRA enhances industry performance standards through communication and education.

New in-house services
We start offering in-house relocation & settling-in services to our clients.
A new office in Belgium
We continue to grow! A new office in the centre of Brussels is a fact with Massimo Maesen taking the lead and becoming an official partner.
We start offering Luxembourg services
That makes us one of the very few (if not the only) Benelux mobility firms!
We grow, again. This time to Germany
It’s time to expand beyond Benelux’ borders! Tobias Schönborn becomes an official partner and leads the practice in Bonn, Germany.
