No Apostilles for documents issued in EU Member States

Since 16 February 2019 civil status documents such as birth and marriage certificates issued in other EU Member States will no longer need to be Apostilled. In most EU Member States, it is possible to obtain multilingual documents which do not need an additional certified translation. In addition, documents issued in the Azores, the Canary Islands, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Madeira, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion and Saint Martin (the French side of the island) will also not need to be Apostilled.

Expat Management Group has partners in other EU Members who may assist with the obtainment of multilingual civil status documents if needed.
