Meet Dario, who moved from Italy to the Netherlands for a new job opportunity in Amsterdam. Read more about his experience below!

So Dario, where did you move from?

I moved from Italy to The Netherlands.

What made you decide to move to the Netherlands?

I found a work opportunity in Amsterdam and decided to relocate.

How did you find the transition to living in a foreign country?

It went very smoothly, i didn’t face any big challenges.

What do you find typically Dutch?

What shocked me the most since moving to The Netherlands is that they are selling houses with no floors.

What has been the best part of your move?

The best part of my move so far has been the opportunity to leave my old life behind and start new and fresh here in The Netherlands.

What has been the hardest aspect of your expat experience so far?

I would say that finding a house has definitely been the hardest part of my move. I recommend starting early and being prepared for disappointment and a lot of rejections before you find a place.

What would you have done differently?

Nothing really, I had a pretty good experience.
