CinemAsia Film Festival @ Kriterion and Rialto, Amsterdam

CinemAsia Film Festival is the only pan-Asian festival in the Netherlands and one of the largest Asian film festivals in Europe.

The Festival in Amsterdam gathers together a delightful selection of the best independent, mainstream and art-house Asian films, with the aim of bringing out valuable insights from Asian culture and unite Dutch-Asian communities by shared excellence in filmmaking.

Besides films from China, Cambodia, India, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and other Southeast and East Asian countries, the festival offers food, karaoke, panels, exhibitions, a bazaar and more to ensure a fun and fulfilling experience for everyone.

 

IamExpat Fair Amsterdam @ Gashouder, Klönneplein 1 Amsterdam

April 4th

At the IamExpat Fair, the biggest expat event in the Netherlands, internationals can find everything they need in one location, on one day! Browse the many stands and booths, pick up free goodies here and there, attend informative workshops and presentations and network with other expats and expat-friendly companies. All of this under one roof, for free!

Running from 10am to 5pm, the IamExpat Fair Amsterdam 2020 will take place once again at the Gashouder, the largest and most iconic venue in the Westergas. EMG’s relocation team is attending the fair and will be happy to meet you in person!

Keukenhof Spring opening @ Stationsweg 166A, Lisse

The Keukenhof is the international showcase for the Dutch floricultural sector, with a special emphasis on flower bulbs. Over 100 participating flower companies display their living catalogue of various types of flora, with up to seven million spring-flowering bulbs.

Vegetarian Restaurant Week @ Various locations

March 9th – March 15th

If you have been wanting to try out vegetarian dining options or you are a vegetarian, the Vegetarian Restaurant Week will be perfect for you. Vegetarian restaurants across the Netherlands will be offering special discounts and deals as part of the National Week Without Meat. This initiative started out to encourage people to eat less meat and to explore their local vegetarian establishments. Supermarkets and stores across the country have also taken up this initiative. On the website of the Vegetarian Restaurant Week you will be able to book a table and you can find a list of participating restaurants per city.
