Grachtenfestival
August 9th – August 18th
The Grachtenfestival returns to the lively city waterways, canals and many other somewhat unusual venues around Amsterdam, transforming the most unlikely spots into stages for the spine-tingling sounds of classical music. Some events are free and for others, you can access them with tickets via the Grachtenfestival website.
Uitmarkt @ Various locations
August 23rd – August 25th
The Uitmarkt is the largest (free) annual festival in the Netherlands, where 200 of the country’s cultural foundations showcase their biggest talking points! This special event kicks off the Dutch cultural season by presenting the best in music, art, theatre, dance, opera, literature and cabaret performances.

Rotterdam has a brand-new Latin dance event! Rotterdam Latin Festival, or RLF, is the first three-day Latin dance weekender in Rotterdam. So, if Latin dancing is the meaning and purpose of your life, then you’ll be in heaven, immersing yourself in kizomba, bachata and salsa for three full days.

One of the most adventurous and exciting festivals in the Netherlands, it draws around 55.000 visitors over three days every year, where the impressive 250 acts are spread over 12 stages.
