What made you decide to move to the Netherlands?

A bicycle-tour 3 years ago planted the seed. Fell in love with the country. Wanted to see and learn why the Dutch have the happiest people and children in the world.

What do you find typically Dutch?

Cycling as if it’s the most natural thing in the world; &

Basking in the sun next to the river just because the sun is shining – doesn’t mean its hot.

If you were to rate your complete move, what would the rating be?

Complete move, including hiring process, authorities application process and actual relocation, 6/10. Expat Management Group services, 9.5/10.

What would you have done differently?

Only EMG – upfront, provide a list of activities/events for customer to follow along as the process continues.  Oh and electronic paperwork re: this form and the initial questionnaire and auth letter all needed to be printed from Word, signed, scanned and shared back.

What has been the best part of your move?

Knowing that this is not a holiday, when we ‘’return home” it’s right down the street.

Any last tips and tricks?

Always pack a raincoat. And move fast(er) at the grocer’s till check-out.
