5. Kingsday – All across the country

King’s Day marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander on the 27th of April and is a national holiday in the Netherlands. The nationwide event begins the evening before at Kings Night and continues the next day with music, street parties, festivals, flea markets, and fun fairs.
